In December 2021, several teams of junior developers took part in a programming competition to produce project management software for the NGO Louvain Coopération. This competition was organized by the Catholic University of Bukavu in partnership with Louvain Coopération, with the aim of automating the management and monitoring/evaluation of Louvain Coopération’s projects in the DRC in the field of food and economic security for local populations.
At the end of the competition, the team composed of the founding members of DaTech Lab won the Best Developers Award. They immediately began working with Louvain Coopération to refine the software and ensure its integration and deployment in Louvain Coopération’s IT system. During these working sessions, the team acquired knowledge on the use of digital tools for NGO interventions.
