]]> Terre Promise is a Congolese non-profit organization that aims to build a society based on human dignity, social justice, freedom of thought, and active solidarity in the DRC. TERRE PROMISE is founded on the belief that every human being deserves to live in dignity, freedom, and justice. Our mission is to work towards a world where these fundamental values are not only recognized but also put into practice on a daily basis.

To ensure its visibility around the world, its accessibility, and to inspire confidence among its institutional, governmental, private, and public partners, Terre Promise asbl called on the expertise of Data Technologies Laboratory to design a professional, mobile-first website optimized for performance and search engine optimization (SEO).

At the end of this project, DaTech Lab provided Terre Promise asbl with a professional multilingual website with a UX/UI approach, accessible at https://terrepromiseasbl.org, an unlimited email system, a site security guarantee, and three months of post-launch support.

General Objective

To facilitate access to technological tools and strengthen the research capabilities of students in South Kivu and North Kivu by providing high-performance laptops and targeted training in data collection and analysis software.

Specific Objective
  • Provide high-performance laptops to students through an installment payment system to ease financial access.
  • Train students in the use of digital tools for academic research, including software for data collection and analysis (Excel, SPSS, KoboToolbox, R, Python, etc.).
  • Enhance students’ technological autonomy in conducting academic and scientific work.
Geographic Scope

The project will be implemented in the provinces of South Kivu and North Kivu, Democratic Republic of Congo, with a focus on higher education institutions and research centers.

Project Duration

24 months, from November 1, 2025 to November 30, 2027.

Subsidized Laptop Distribution:
  • Selection of models tailored to academic needs.
  • Implementation of an installment-based payment system.
  • Post-sale support and technical assistance.
Training in Research Software:
  • In-person and online training sessions.
  • Modules on data collection tools (KoboToolbox, ODK).

]]> As part of the support contract signed between DaTech Lab and the Coopérative des Projets d’Autonomisation Communautaire de Fizi (COOPAC-Fizi), a 3-day training course from May 12 to 14, 2025 to build the capacity of COOPAC-Fizi agents in the use of IT tools.
At the end of the training, 30 agents were trained in the use of basic computer functions and office software, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.

]]> The TUSOME project was presented to secondary schools in South Kivu. The aim was to demonstrate the importance of this project to the various school leaders, as well as the My School software that supports the project.
This software facilitates the global and inclusive management of secondary schools, and connects students, teachers and administrators with their schools. It manages enrolment, school fee payments, course assignment and logging, timetables and student ratings.
