General Objective
To facilitate access to technological tools and strengthen the research capabilities of students in South Kivu and North Kivu by providing high-performance laptops and targeted training in data collection and analysis software.
Specific Objective
- Provide high-performance laptops to students through an installment payment system to ease financial access.
- Train students in the use of digital tools for academic research, including software for data collection and analysis (Excel, SPSS, KoboToolbox, R, Python, etc.).
- Enhance students’ technological autonomy in conducting academic and scientific work.
Geographic Scope
The project will be implemented in the provinces of South Kivu and North Kivu, Democratic Republic of Congo, with a focus on higher education institutions and research centers.
Project Duration
24 months, from November 1, 2025 to November 30, 2027.
Key Activities
Subsidized Laptop Distribution:
- Selection of models tailored to academic needs.
- Implementation of an installment-based payment system.
- Post-sale support and technical assistance.
Training in Research Software:
- In-person and online training sessions.
- Modules on data collection tools (KoboToolbox, ODK).
- Modules on statistical analysis (SPSS, Excel, R, Python).
- Practical workshops and case studies.
